Kenmore Avenue

Constructing a green, complete street along the City’s boundary

Kenmore Avenue forms the northern boundary of the City of Buffalo, with the south side of the street owned by the City and the north side owned by the Village of Kenmore. This project involved a mill and overlay resurfacing project of a section of the street from Niagara Falls Boulevard at Main Street to Starin Avenue. On the south side of the project, Buffalo Sewer partnered with the City on a continuous porous pavement bike lane installation to capture stormwater runoff from the street and keep it out of the sewer system. The bike lane also supports multi-modal transportation options along the busy street.
