Work will be completed so that temporary disruptions in the neighborhood, such as noise and dust, will be minimized as much as possible. Sewage odors will NOT be present in homes, but may be present outside. 

During construction, residents can expect to see equipment in the road and temporary traffic patterns in place, including: 

· Partial road closures

· Traffic delays

· Possible detours

· Limited street parking

Construction is anticipated to start in Fall 2026 and finish by Spring 2028. 

Notices will be delivered to residents at least one week before construction starts. 

Buffalo Sewer is working diligently to improve the City’s existing sewer infrastructure in a cost-effective manner that will reduce combined sewer overflows (CSOs) impacting surface waters. This project will relieve pressure on the combined sewer system during storms, reducing the likelihood of CSOs. The new network of stormwater pipes will improve drainage during rain events, which will reduce street flooding.  

There is a possibility that residents may experience brief water & sewer service interruption / limited use. Residents will be notified in advance should this occur, and details will be provided at that time.  

Parts of Hennepin Park will be closed during construction, including the basketball court, which will be replaced at the end of construction. 

The tennis courts and hockey rink will be accessible during construction.

There will be chain link fences around the construction area to keep the community safe from the excavation and heavy machinery. 

The playground will be closed for a brief period of time for minor drainage improvements. Playground equipment will be protected. 

The project is primarily funded through a grant award from the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation. The remainder is paid with low interest loans through Buffalo Sewer Authority’s Environmental Impact Bond.

প্রকল্পের অংশ হিসেবে বাস্কেটবল কোর্টটি কয়েক মাসের জন্য বন্ধ রাখা হবে এবং পুনর্নির্মাণ করা হবে।

নির্মাণকাজ চলাকালীন জনসাধারণের নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করতে অস্থায়ী বেড়া ব্যবহার করা হবে।

নিষ্কাশন ব্যবস্থার ক্ষুদ্র উন্নয়নমূলক কাজের জন্য খেলার মাঠ (প্লেগ্রাউন্ড) স্বল্প সময়ের জন্য বন্ধ থাকবে।

টেনিস কোর্ট এবং হকি রিঙ্ক খোলা ও ব্যবহারযোগ্য থাকবে।

Cơ quan Thoát nước Thành phố Buffalo (Buffalo Sewer Authority) đang nâng cấp hệ thống thoát nước mưa trong khu vực của bạn. Công ty Destro Brothers, Inc., thay mặt Buffalo Sewer Authority, sẽ xây dựng:

• Hệ thống lưu trữ nước mưa ngầm tại Công viên Hennepin
• Các đường ống thoát nước mưa mới trên Đại lộ Bailey và các đường lân cận

Một số khu vực trong công viên sẽ tạm thời đóng cửa trong thời gian thi công

• Sân bóng rổ sẽ đóng cửa vài tháng và sẽ được xây mới trong dự án
  
• Hàng rào tạm thời sẽ được dựng để đảm bảo an toàn cho người dân
  
• Sân chơi trẻ em sẽ đóng cửa trong thời gian ngắn để cải thiện hệ thống thoát nước nhỏ
  
• Sân tennis và sân hockey vẫn mở và có thể sử dụng
